Chef Hemant Oberoi’s eponymous restaurant is the place to be for a spectacular dining experience in the plush Bandra Kurla area. The 3,000 square feet dining space has capacity of 70 covers, a private dining space and swish bar. The restaurant is the first venture of Hemant’s newly launched Hemant Oberoi Hospitality.
The place has an old-world charm with a new-age, contemporary menu. The soft glowing lights in the restaurant make for a pleasant ambience. The restaurant serves a variety of cuisines like European, Asian, Continental and quite interestingly, Peruvian cuisine. The ingredients used in the dishes come from the different parts of the world. Corn and Chillies are from Peru, Miso and fish From Japan. Tomatoes from Holland and the list continues.
Specials from the chef include Cheese Souffle, Truffle Risotto, Ravioli, Parmesan Gnocchi, Coffee Cheesecake. Chef Hemant recommends Avocado Tortilla Pizza - Peruvian style with authentic flavours. He also says shredded Parmesan is used on the tortilla to make it crispy. Chef Hemant Oberoi worked as a former Executive Chef in The Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai and was also the former Corporate Chef of The Taj Group of Luxury Hotels. He has led a team of 1,000 chefs while overseeing 23 hotels across the globe. He has been at the forefront of introducing Indian diners to global cuisine in India.
